why I offer Sculptra® injections
I’ve been offering cosmetic injections as part of my Naturopathic Medicine practice for years now, but lately there has been a noticeable shift—one that perfectly aligns with my values as a provider. After a wave of overinjecting (often resulting in overfilling), it seems that the masses are now coming around to the more natural approach to cosmetic injections that I’ve always stood by. At the center of this cosmetic injection revolution is Sculptra®, the injectable that adds volume differently than the traditional dermal filler you may have tried previously. Rather than treating the visible concern, Sculptra® treats the root cause—which is always my goal as your Naturopathic Doctor. How does Sculptra® do it? Let’s get into all of your burning questions now.
I invite you to explore everything you need to know about Sculptra® below—from available booking locations across Kamloops, Kelowna, Lake Country and Vernon, to patient before-and-afters and FAQs. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
SCULPTRA®
a natural, long-lasting approach
Since its FDA and Health Canada approval, Sculptra® has steadily evolved from a niche treatment into one of the most sought-after options in aesthetics. For years, most patients preferred quick, visible fixes like botox or dermal fillers—treatments that deliver wonderful results but only last a few months. Now more and more of my patients are looking for natural, long-lasting improvements rather than temporary volume. Sculptra® allows me to offer my patients an option that can address the root cause of those same skin concerns for up to two years, with some patients reporting visible results for up to 5 years. This revolutionary, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) based injectable restores the inner structure of your skin by stimulating your own natural collagen production, which helps restore volume, reduce fine lines and minimize wrinkles.
Sculptra® patient transformations

Average patient | 3 sessions, 4–6 vials
Most patients receive a series of treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Sculptra® works gradually by stimulating collagen, with improvements that continue to build over several months and last up to two years. Individual results may vary.

frequently asked questions
How does Sculptra® work?
Sculptra® is made with poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that stimulates collagen production deep within the skin. As your body naturally absorbs the PLLA, it triggers new collagen growth, gradually restoring volume and improving skin texture over time.
What areas is Sculptra® best for?
Sculptra® is ideal for treating volume loss and fine lines in the temples, cheeks, lower face, and chin. It enhances facial contour, improves hollowing, and provides natural-looking structure, especially in areas affected by aging or weight loss. Unlike traditional fillers that target one wrinkle or fold, Sculptra® works more broadly by stimulating collagen across the treated area for a natural, overall improvement.
How soon will I see Sculptra® results?
How long do Sculptra® results last?
Sculptra® results develop gradually as your body builds collagen and can last up to two years, with some patients reporting visible results up to 5 years. Unlike traditional dermal filler fillers, Sculptra® works over time and typically requires a series of three treatments for optimal results. Results appear naturally and build progressively with each treatment session.
Who can inject Sculptra®?
While this will change slightly from province to province, in British Columbia, only licensed medical physicians, dentists, or registered nurses who have also obtained Sculptra® training can safely and effectively administer Sculptra® to patients. As both a cosmetic injector and Naturopathic Physician, I have extensive experience with administrating injections. I was required to also complete additional, specialized training for Sculptra®.
If you are seeking Sculptra® injections outside of the Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon or Lake Country area where I practice, I highly recommend doing your research and asking potential cosmetic injectors questions about their training and experience with the product prior to booking.
How much does Sculptra® cost in British Columbia?
How long are Sculptra® treatments?
Sculptra® treatments typically take about 30–45 minutes, including time to review your plan and answer any questions you may have. The injection process is quick and comfortable, with numbing available if needed. Your first Sculptra® treatment may be slightly longer as it will begin with a lengthier personalized consultation.
What downtime can I expect after Sculptra®?
There’s little to no downtime with Sculptra®—you can return to most daily activities right away. However, you should avoid exercise for 24 hours and skip facials or dental work for two weeks. Swelling is common for the first day, and you’ll be asked to gently massage the area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days to support even results. Additional Sculptra® aftercare information will be provided during your appointment.
Are you a good candidate for Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is one of the most exciting advances in cosmetic injections—but like all treatments, it’s not for everyone. Wondering if it’s a match for you? Here’s a quick checklist to help you find out:
You’re in overall good health.
You’re noticing age-related volume loss.
Think hollow cheeks, deeper folds around the mouth, or a general loss of facial plumpness. Sculptra® helps stimulate collagen in exactly these areas.
You’re patient with the process.
Sculptra® results build over time. If you’re okay with waiting a few months (and doing a series of treatments), you’ll be rewarded with long-lasting, natural-looking results.
You don’t have allergies to its ingredients.
If you have a known sensitivity to poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), Sculptra® isn’t the right fit.
Your skin is healthy.
No active infections, inflammation, or open wounds in the area you want treated.
You’re not pregnant or breastfeeding.
As with most cosmetic injectables, Sculptra® is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
