Dermal Filler
Best for adding volume and contour to facial features and treating deep folds and static wrinkles, I trust and use Revanesse® hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers. Common dermal filler treatment areas include: lips, chin, cheeks, nasolabial folds, jawline and more.
Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators (BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Nuceiva™) are the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure in North America. It is an extremely effective treatment for reducing wrinkles specifically around the eyes, forehead and nose. Repetitive contraction of facial muscles leads to lines knows as dynamic wrinkles.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is unlike any dermal filler you’ve had before; it restores facial volume and diminishes wrinkles gradually by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. While results are not instantaneous like other dermal fillers, they do last two to five years and are extremely natural-looking.
Skinboosters™
By utilizing the natural properties of HA to attract moisture/water back into the skin, these microinjection of a hyaluronic acid (HA) gel replenish the hydration and volume that depletes with age, which also helps to smooth fine lines.

Should I get a full of half syringe of lip filler?
LIP FILLER: HALF OR FULL SYRINGE? | This is probably the most common question I am asked by those considering lip augmentation for the first time. My approach to cosmetic injections is more subtle, keeping that natural appearance. For that reason (and many others), I typically recommend always starting with a half syringe if you're new to the treatment. This allows us to understand how your body will respond to the formula and allows me to build up the vermillion border to prevent filler migration when more volume is added. Though you may not be familiar with the term filler migration, you've likely seen it. A lot of the time when someone describes filler as looking unnatural, it's due to this migration of the filler above the vermillion border (it's sometimes describes as "duck lips" or a "filler moustache"). I trust and use Revanesse® Kiss, which is 1.2 ml per full syringe or 0.6 ml for a half—depending on the brand of filler used, this amount may vary. The best way to decide what amount of filler is right for you is by booking in your consultation. I offer complimentary consultations at six locations across Kamloops, Kelowna and Vernon.
When should I start getting botox?
PREVENTATIVE BOTOX | For those looking to prevent deep wrinkles, I recommend considering botox when you begin to see static lines appear. Since every individual is unique, there's not a specific age I recommend for starting botox treatments; however, typically I see patients starting in their late 20s or early 30s. Botox works to temporarily (3-4 months) block certain nerve signals that make muscles contract. This prevents dynamic wrinkles, which could form into static wrinkles if left untreated. There are many scientifically proven benefits of preventative (baby) botox, but to keep it simple: It's easier to prevent than to treat wrinkles. Preventative botox can be the more economical option too as fewer units will be needed per treatment. But let me clear, I don't believe anyone needs botox; if you choose to consider it, I'm here to provide you all the information you need to make an informed decision that's best for you.
How should I prepare for my filler appointment?
FILLER DO'S & DON'TS | It may seem like a lot, but these pre-treatment and aftercare guidelines are worth following. With dermal filler, bruising is quite common. By reducing inflammatories prior and post treatment, you're more likely to have a smooth recovery and see your beautiful results earlier.
PRE-TREATMENT
- If you’re prone to bruising start taking Arnica 2 days prior to treatment
- Avoid waxing, laser, bleaching or hair removal creams on the treatment area for 48 hours prior
- Skip the alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before
- Discontinue using blood thinning medications & supplements 1 week before
- Arrive hydrated!
AFTERCARE
- Avoid pressure on the treated area for 6 hours (no lying down or looking down)
- Apply a cool compress for 15-minute periods, 3-4 times per day for 2 days
- Avoid direct sun exposure, saunas, hot tubs and tanning beds for at least 48 hours
- No strenuous exercise for the first 48 hours
- Stay hydrated!
How many units of botox do I need?
BUT, HOW MANY UNITS? | The number of units each patient requires is unique and will vary based on the muscle size, muscle strength, and other factors. As part of your built-in consultation (which is standard for any treatment with me), we will discuss how many units are recommended for your treatment. That being said, here is a general guideline of number of units per area to help you better plan for your next treatment:
Chin: 2-6 units
Lip flip: 4-6 units
Crow’s feet: 5-15 units
Eyebrow lift: 2-5 units
Forehead lines: 10-30 units
Frown lines: 10-25 units
Jaw (Masseter): 15-50 units/per side
Neck (Platysmal) bands: 25-50 units
What does "building" my lip filler mean?
BUILDING YOUR LIP FILLER | Often I recommend patients only receive a half syringe (06. ml) of Revanesse® Ultra during their first lip filler treatment, followed by another half syringe about a month later if more volume is desired. Why? To establish structure and support their natural face anatomy. Filler folds, filler migration and “duck” appearance, as many refer to it, can occur if you don't have the support in your lips and surrounding your mouth to support the weight of the new filler. By approaching lip filler gradually opposed to "overnight," we can better control placement and maintain the lip's natural shape. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out or book in your consultation.
