why I offer dermal fillers

Looking for dermal filler injections in Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon or Lake Country? You found the right page. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I approach dermal fillers a little differently than your typical cosmetic injector. With a strong passion for facial anatomy and undetectable results, my patients come to me for dermal filler because they want safe, natural-looking injections.

Many of us have small insecurities, whether it’s volume loss or asymmetry, that can affect how we feel and how we show up in the world. Dermal fillers allow us to address these concerns precisely and safely. The most common dermal filler treatment areas are lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, nasolabial folds (smile lines), and under-eye hollows (tear troughs.

I invite you to explore everything you need to know about dermal fillers in Kamloops, Kelowna, Lake Country and Vernon, BC. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

DERMAL FILLERS

but what actually are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances, most often made from hyaluronic acid, that are injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. There are many types of dermal fillers available, each designed for different goals and treatment areas.

As a Naturopathic Doctor and cosmetic injector, my focus is always on achieving natural-looking, long-lasting results. That means being intentional about every product I use in my practice. I choose Revanesse®, a Canadian-made hyaluronic acid filler known for its smooth consistency, natural integration, and minimal swelling.

Formulated with the same molecule your body naturally produces to keep skin hydrated and plump, Revanesse® helps refine contours, soften lines, and restore youthful balance. Its advanced particle design allows for even distribution and comfort, with lidocaine built in to reduce discomfort during treatment. For my patients, this means subtle, high-quality results that enhance their confidence—never overdone.

what can dermal fillers treat?

Dermal fillers are one of the most popular and versatile cosmetic injections I provide as a Naturopathic Doctor and cosmetic injector. For the most natural-looking results, I often treat my patients holistically rather than addressing a single feature. That said, here are the most common treatment areas for dermal filler:

lips

Formulas like Revanesse® Kiss™ or Ultra™ can enhance lip hydration, address asymmetry, and add soft, natural volume for balanced proportions.

chin

Formulas such as Revanesse® Shape™ or Contour™ can strengthen a recessed chin, correct asymmetry, and improve overall facial balance and profile harmony.

jawline

Formulas such as Revanesse® Shape™ or Contour™ can refine and sculpt the jawline, creating improved definition and symmetry in the lower face.

cheeks

Formulas such as Revanesse® Contour™ or Shape™ can lift and define the cheeks, restoring volume and symmetry for a naturally balanced appearance.

dermal filler patient transformations

Lip Filler | Revanesse® Ultra
For this patient, the goal wasn’t huge pouty lips, but a bit of balance. While the upper lip is naturally thinner than the bottom, we wanted to create a bit more balance and we did so with just a half (0.6 ml) syringe of Revanesse® Ultra. You’d be surprised the results you can achieve with just a small amount of product.

Chin + Lip Filler | Revanesse® Ultra
For this patient, we opted for a lip and chin filler combination to keep her profile balanced. Sometimes, if you treat the lips without treating the chin, it can cause the chin to look recessed. So, when we opted for a half syringe (0.6 ml) of Revanesse® Ultra™ to define and add volume to the lips, we also treated the chin with a half syringe (0.6 ml) of Revanesse® Ultra+.

Chin Filler | Revanesse® Ultra
This patient received a half syringe (0.6 ml) of Revanesse® Ultra, achieving a better balanced and natural-looking profile. It’s all about balance—if the lips begin to protrude more, we want to keep them supported and proportionate by improving the chin’s projection.
Lower Face Rejuvenation | Revanesse® Contour + Revanesse® Ultra
For this patient we focused on lower face rejuvenation. We treated this patient’s cheeks, nasolabials and marionettes using one syringe (1.2 ml) of Revanesse® Contour and one syringe (1.2 ml) or Revanesse® Ultra.

How do dermal fillers work?

Dermal fillers work by restoring lost volume and enhancing facial contours using substances that mimic naturally occurring components of your skin—most commonly hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a sugar molecule found naturally in the body that binds to water, helping maintain hydration and plumpness. When injected, HA fillers attract and hold water within the treated area, adding structure and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles almost immediately.

Different formulations vary in density and elasticity, allowing me to choose the most appropriate product for each area of the face—for example, softer gels for lips and more structured options for the chin or jawline. Over time, the filler gradually breaks down and is absorbed by the body, typically lasting anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the product and area treated.

In my Lake Country, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Vernon clinics, I focus on precise placement and natural balance so your results complement, not change, your facial anatomy.

How much are dermal fillers?

The cost of dermal fillers depends on the area being treated and the amount of product needed to achieve your desired results. In Kelowna, Kamloops, Lake Country and Vernon, pricing typically ranges between $600–$800 per syringe. The number of syringes required varies greatly based on the individual, the treatment area, your desired results and the level of volume restoration needed. During your complimentary dermal filler consultation, I’ll provide a clear treatment plan and estimate specific to you. You are never pressured to go ahead with any treatment with me if you aren’t 100 percent comfortable doing so.

What can dermal fillers treat?

Dermal fillers are versatile and can address many areas of the face, including:

  • Cheeks and midface (to restore lift and volume)
  • Lips (to enhance volume, shape, and hydration)
  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines
  • Chin and jawline (for contour and definition)

How long do dermal fillers last?

The longevity of your results depends on both the area being treated and the type of filler used. With Revanesse®, the hyaluronic acid–based filler I use, most results last 6–18 months. In areas where a thicker product is placed more deeply—such as the cheeks or jawline—results can sometimes last up to 20–24 months. Regular maintenance treatments help sustain your results over time, keeping them fresh and natural-looking.

K
L
Are dermal fillers permanent?

One of the advantages of hyaluronic acid–based fillers like Revanesse® is that they can be safely dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. All cosmetic injection providers should have hyaluronidase on hand during your treatment in case of emergencies. If they don’t, consider it a red flag and choose another provider.

Am I a good candidate for dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers in Lake Country, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Vernon are best for healthy adults who want to subtly enhance features like cheeks, lips, or jawline with immediate results. You should avoid fillers if you have a bleeding disorder, active skin infection, or allergies to filler ingredients, and they’re not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you’re on blood thinners or have certain autoimmune conditions, we’ll discuss whether fillers are appropriate for you.

K
L
Are dermal fillers safe?

Yes. When performed by a qualified medical professional using Health Canada–approved products, dermal fillers are generally very safe. The most common side effects include mild swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection site, which typically resolve within a few days. Serious complications are rare, but it’s important to choose a provider who is experienced, transparent about risks, and attentive to your health history.

What downtime can I expect after dermal fillers?

But achieving the best results from your cosmetic injections is a team effort—it involves both my expertise and your commitment to before and aftercare. While we’ll go over everything in detail during your built-in consultation and appointment, including any concerns you have about minimizing pain, being informed on what you can do ahead of time can directly impact your results. By understanding and following Botox and Filler: Essential Dos and Don’ts Before and After Injections you can help minimize any risks, support your healing, and get the most out of your treatment. Please think of this as your ultimate guide for cosmetic injection before and after care—and refresh your memory ahead of each treatment.

What's the difference between botox and dermal filler?

While both are cosmetic injectables, they work very differently. Botox (neuromodulators) relax targeted muscles to soften expression lines like frown lines or crow’s feet. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, add volume beneath the skin to smooth wrinkles, plump lips, or restore fullness in areas that have lost elasticity with age. Many patients combine the two!
