Cosmetic injection appointments and consultations can be booked directly online for any of Dr. Marissa Gaucher’s locations.
Do I need to book a consultation before I book my cosmetic injections with Dr. Marissa Gaucher?
You do not need to book a consultation prior to your first injections with Dr. Marissa Gaucher, as all appointments begin with a built-in complimentary consultation. Dr. Marissa Gaucher will take the time to assess your facial anatomy, talk through your concerns/goals, and offer treatment options based on your discussion. With all the information you need to make an informed decision, you can then decide what treatment (if any) feels right for you. If you decide you aren’t ready to move ahead with the treatment after the consultation portion of your appointment, there is no pressure to do so. That said you are welcome to book a complimentary consultation separately from your first treatment if you’d like.
What if I don’t know what injectable I want to book with Dr. Marissa Gaucher?
If you are unsure what cosmetic injection treatment to book with Dr. Marissa Gaucher, that is okay! Simply book in your complimentary consultation and she will work with you to determine the best injectables for your needs. There’s never any pressure to proceed, just options.

Will cosmetic injections make me look “fake”?
Part of the reason I believe there is still a stigma around Naturopathic Doctors offering patients cosmetic injections is the misconception that those who choose to receive cosmetic injections appear “fake” and do not “age gracefully.” In my experience and the experiences of patients over the last six years, this is not the reality of cosmetic injections—when done properly of course. When managed conservatively and while using the proper technique, botox and filler can help you address your concerns while still looking like you. That all being said, there are some people I would never recommend or treat with botox or filler.

How many units of botox do I need?
The number of units each patient requires is unique and will vary based on the muscle size, muscle strength, and other factors. As part of your built-in consultation (which is standard for any treatment with me), we will discuss how many units are recommended for your treatment. That being said, here is a general guideline of number of units per area to help you better plan for your next treatment:
Chin: 2-6 units
Lip flip: 4-6 units
Crow’s feet: 5-15 units
Eyebrow lift: 2-5 units
Forehead lines: 10-30 units
Frown lines: 10-25 units
Jaw (Masseter): 15-50 units/per side
Neck (Platysmal) bands: 25-50 units
Should I get a half or full syringe of lip filler?
By far the most common question I receive when it comes to lip fillers. And the answer I provide patients will change depending on their lip anatomy, how many treatments they've had with me and how more lip volume will impact their overall facial harmony. I always opt to err on less is more as building lip filler slowly greatly reduces the risk of filler migration.
